Success Corner! Children light candles, pray for Nigeria
Children of the Child Eaglet Foundation an NGO under the Catholic Church held a maiden annual children’s festival of light, with symbols of lit candles and prayers of peace offered for Nigeria.
President of the foundation, Mrs. Achile Unekwu-Oju said the aim was to rekindle the spirit of light in the children and create an atmosphere for them to have sense of belonging and always remember to be the light in the Nation.
The foundation focuses on kids and youths as well as handles their behavioural issues advising them to make the best out of themselves so they don’t give up on their lives, their goals, their focus and they can as well reach that which God has destined them to be.
Mrs Achile also emphasized that youths need to know that they can work honestly and they can still achieve their goals without swindling. “We want to rekindle the spirit of light in children because they are the future of tomorrow and will carry it along with them as they grow into adults. They should know that with being honest they can reach their goals.”
“We also warn youths to watch out before they leap, they should always calculate, before they fly and soar. We advise them to drop out the vulture spirit, going for everything that everybody is doing- which the gang spirit. We also tell them to stand out for what they represent irrespective of the storm that may come against them,” she explained.
The foundation advised youths to be the change they want to see adding that change begins from everybody and not just the government.
