One chance syndicate throws butcher out of moving car

- By Emma Elekwa

A meat seller nearly lost his life on Tuesday after he was thrown out of a moving vehicle by a One Chance syndicate in Dei-Dei, along Kubwa-Zuba expressway.

The victim, City News learnt, left his house in Kubwa in the early hours of that fateful day for Suleja where he normally buys meat for sale.

Our source said he boarded the vehicle at the NYSC junction, along the expressway without knowing that the occupants of the car were robbers.

“As they were approaching MOPOL barracks at Dei-Dei, they collected all the money he was going to the market with and pushed him out of the moving car,” the source said.

City News, however, learnt that a police officer discovered him as he lay in an unconscious state with bruises and assisted in rushing him to Kubwa General Hospital.

Similarly, a 28-year-old carpenter nearly lost his life same day after falling from a building within the same area.

City News learnt that the victim was working on the roof of the building when a sheet of the zinc he was standing on broke and he subsequently fell off and landed on the floor.

He sustained head injury and was quickly taken to Kubwa General Hospital for medical attention.

When contacted, the head, Accident and Emergency Unit of the hospital, Paul Olise, confirmed that the butcher was brought to the hospital in an unconscious state.
