Wada tasks Muslims on peace, love
Kogi State Governor Idris Wada has called on Muslims and all Nigerians to eschew bitterness, embrace love and pursue peace with all men as the world marks Eid-el Kabir today.
In a Sallah message, Wada enjoined Muslims to use the occasion to pray for genuine peace, unity and progress of Nigeria and it’s leadership. He also called on all indigenes of the state to pray for divine guidance in the conduct of the forthcoming governorship poll in the state, cautioning against violence and other electoral malpractices during the poll.
The statement congratulated Muslims for witnessing and participating in this year’s Sallah festival and urged them to allow the lessons of the season continue to rule over their affairs long after the celebrations.
