‘Politics of inclusion not promoting democracy’
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State, Barrister Kaloma Dahiru Mustapha, has said that it is time to deemphasise politics of inclusion and fair representation because it failed to foster the supposed unity and promotion of common wealth among Nigerians.
The APC stalwart said it was time for the country’s democracy to start moving away from such principles that were adopted to address the diversity of Nigerians, based on geography and ethnicity.
Mustapha said that the same mundane principle of politics recently gave room for the uproar witnessed when President Muhammadu Buhari announced the members of his ‘kitchen cabinet’.
