Bolori wins PDP ticket for Borno Senate by-election

Alhaji Kaka Bolori has been declared winner of the primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held in Maiduguri, Tuesday, for the Borno Central by-election scheduled to hold in October.

The seat became vacant following the death of Senator Ahmed Zannah Khalifa before the inauguration of the 8th Senate.

The result sheet, signed by Usman Danjuma, the PDP’s electoral officer for the primary election, and Abba Alhaji Adamu, the returning officer, indicated that Bolori scored 108 votes to emerge winner.

He defeated Umar Mustapha Kaleri who scored 107 votes and Umar Mohammed Goni who scored 57 votes.
