The prosecutor Godwin Osuyi, told the court that the defendant Museliu unlawfully shot the deceased dead with his AK47.

He said the offences are punishable under sections 221 and 243 of the criminal laws of Lagos state of Nigeria, 2011.

Since the defendant’s plea was not taken, the prosecutor applied that the police corporal be remanded in prison custody pending the legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

Consenting, Magistrate Afolashade Botoku ordered that the defendant should be remanded in prison custody for the next 30 days and the case was adjourned till October 19, 2015.
