Police arrest ‘One Chance’ operatives

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested one Ameh Sunday, a notorious ‘One Chance’ operative who robs and rapes his female passengers.

A police source told our reporter that following a special operation carried out by the Command’s Surveillance Team, Sunday was arrested with an ash-coloured Honda Civic car with registration no RBC 222 CE Abuja.

The source said when asked about the ownership of the car, he said one Moses Sugh gave it to him to wash.

City News gathered that when the car was searched, a female purse containing identity cards of University of Abuja, NYSC and avoters’ card belonging to one Blessing Ngwu, one wrist watch, five SIM cards of different networks and a wrap of weed suspected to be Indian hemp, were recovered.

“This led to the arrest of the said Moses Sugh, who in the cause of interrogation confessed that the items were part of the things they robbed from one of their victims.

“The suspects confessed to having carried out two successful ‘one chance’ robbery operations,” the source added.

The FCT police commissioner, Wilson Inalegwu who paraded the suspects at the command headquarters on Tuesday said that in the last couple of days, the command’s operatives have busted these syndicates and set others on the run.
