Boy, 15, disguises as woman, sneaks into female hostel

A15-year-old boy, known as Yusuf Saleh, was arrested by the police after he disguised as a woman and sneaked into the girls’ dormitory at the Federal College of Education (Technical) Gusau, Zamfara State.

The boy, according to security sources, had trespassed into the hostel about 6am, apparently to catch a glimpse of the nakedness of the female students while they were bathing in an open place. He was subsequently detected while staring at the female students.

President of the Student Union Government of the college, Maryam Ibrahim, told Daily Trust that the suspect was seen wearing a wrapper, Hijab and a headscarf, adding that one of her colleagues who was able to reveal his real identity drew the attention of other students and he was quickly caught and handed over to the college security personnel.

The appearance of the boy at the hostel caused a sudden commotion as some students began to suspect him to be a terror kingpin trying to launch attack on them.

However, the suspect told Daily Trust that he was there for no definite mission other than to see what the female hostel is all about, saying he disguised as a woman to avoid being detected by the security operatives and students.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Zamfara State command, DSP Sanusi Amiru said the suspect would be charged to court upon completion of investigation, and called on the public to report any suspicious movement to the nearest security formation.
