Flood kills 4, sacks communities in Imo
Flood has killed four persons and sacked four communities in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
The
flood
equally destroyed property millions of naira affected areas.
Daily Trust correspondent who visited the area, reports that farmlands were washed away in the disaster.
Some indigenes of the area including President,
worth in the Oguta Youth Association Vincent Azuogu, decried the situation, adding that many people from the area are now refugees.
Deputy Chief of Staff to the governor, Kingsley Uju, donated some relief materials when he visited the area to ascertain the level of damage caused by the flood.
The Deputy Chief of Staff consoled the people, while noting that flood is a natural occurrence.
He pleaded with them to always adhere to NIMET warnings.
