10 countries to participate in 37th Kaduna trade fair
At least 10 countries have indicated interest to participate in the 37th edition of the Kaduna International Trade Fair slated to hold next month.
This was disclosed by the President of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA), Dr. Abdul Alimi Bello, during a visit to the headquarters of the Media Trust Limited in Abuja yesterday.
Dr. Bello revealed that the fair, which will run from February 26 to March 6 at the Trade Fair Complex, Kaduna, would be attended by exhibitors both from within and outside the country.
The theme of this year’s edition is “Promoting the Solid Mineral Sector for Sustainable Economic Development in Nigeria”.
“We do hope that before the Fair comes up, more countries will indicate interest to participate,” he said.
He assured consumers that would be patronizing the fair that prices of wares to be exhibited at the event would be reasonable as KADCCIMA has ensured prices for exhibition spaces were not allocated arbitrarily.
A highlight of the 10-day event is a quiz competition among secondary schools across the 19 northern states. Gift items for the winners of the competition, which is the 5th edition, include computers and branded ICT devices that will help the students in their studies.
The organisers of the fair will also hold a farewell dinner for exhibitors at the end of the exhibition.
Dr Bello assured exhibitors and visitors to the Trade Fair Complex of adequate security as arrangements had been made to forestall any breach of security.
