Nigeria investment Road Show holds in London

A five-day road show for Nigeria trade and investment has started in London.

The road show, organised by the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) in partnershi­p with the United Kingdom Trade and Investment (UKTI) and Price-water Cooper (PwC), started yesterday and would end on Friday, July 15, 2016, the British High Commission said yesterday.

A statement issued by the High Commission’s press and public affairs officer, Mr Joe Abuku, in Abuja, said that the event was organized for a select group of key officials from the federal and state government­s to highlight business opportunit­ies in the energy, agricultur­e, transport, solid minerals, ICT and infrastruc­ture sectors to UK investors, key UK government agencies (UK Export Finance, Infrastruc­ture and Projects Authority) and multiplier­s.

The UKTI is the British government department that helps UK-based companies of all sizes to grow and become more profitable by exporting their products and services.

The session featured keynote speeches from the Nigerian Minister of Trade and Investment, Mr Okechukwu Enelamah, and the UK Trade Envoy to Nigeria, John Howell.

Other top officials in attendance included Nigeria’s transport minister, Rotimi Amaechi, agricultur­e minister, Audu Ogbeh, water resources minister, Suleiman Adamu, and the minister of state, aviation, Hadi Sirika.
