Man, 42, stripped naked over theft of manhood

A 42-year-old man, was beaten and stripped naked by angry mob for allegedly causing the disappearance of another man’s penis through super natural powers. The event happened last Thursday at Madalla Market, Suleja, Niger State.

A witness said that the incident happened around 3:00pm when the man, whose name was given as Rabius, came into the market to sell traditional medicine.

He said the man allegedly gave a concoction to the victim to rob it on his manhood after the victim complained to him of premature ejaculation

The witness said after the victim went back home and applied the concoction, his manhood disappeared and he rushed back to meet the herbalist at the market.

The witness said herbalist denied allegation.

However, some angry youth beat him and stripped him naked, forcing him to confess to his crime and returned the victim’s manhood.

“The man earlier denied the the stealing the man’s penis until he was beaten and stripped naked,” he said. “Vigilantes intervened in the matter and he returned the victim’s manhood.”

A member of the vigilante group, who preferred anonymity, confirmed the incident, saying that the man was handed to the police.

“But we still had to take him to a brothel to confirm if his body was fully functional, before we now handed the man over to the police,” he said.

The vigilante member warned people to be wary of such people who go about claiming to be selling herbal medicine and charms, adding that such people were only looking for vulnerable people to exploit for ritual purposes, especially as festivals approach.

The Madalla Divisional Police Officer (DPO) could not be reached for his comments, but a police officer at the station confirmed the incident, saying that the suspect would be charged to court after investigation was concluded.
