- By Ojoma Akor

Air Djibouti, managed by Cardiff Aviation, yesterday, said its pilot, Mr Ademilola Odujinrin, was on a mission to become the first African pilot in history to fly solo around the world.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Air Djibouti, Mr Mario Fulgoni, said this in a statement in Abuja.

He stated that the pilot had on Oct. 14 embarked on the second leg of his historic journey in a Cirrus aircraft from North Weald airfield in the UK.

The flight is part of `Project Transcend’, a foundation aimed at inspiring young people to achieve their goals, regardless of personal circumstances.(NAN) Members of the Abuja chapter of the Nigerian Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers (NAPPMED) have called on the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria (PCN) to make the issuance of licenses to medicine vendors less cumbersome.

Chairman of the Chapter, Mr Odoh Okudili made the call yesterday during a town hall meeting with members of the association in Abuja.

Okudili said it was usually long and tedious for members to get their licenses from PCN.

A member of the association, Mr Ezema Emmanuel said that he had been applying for license since 2005 from the PCN and it was approved but not issued.

He said since then he had been renewing it, and that members currently pay N7, 000 for renewal every year.

Registrar of PCN, Pharmacist Elijah Mohammed said the issuance of patent and proprietary medicine vendors’ license is tailored towards areas where pharmaceutical services were not readily available.

Director of Pharmaceutical Services at PCN, Pharmacist Hawakulu Ibrahim said the town hall meeting was organized to enable NAPPMED members and the council improve communication and also interact.
