Meanwhile, chief coach of the Super Eagles, Salisu Yusuf has denied reports linking with a return to Pillars which he once managed during one of their most successful eras in history.

Yusuf led the Kano based club to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title in 2008 before returning again in 2010 to qualify them for the CAF Champions League which endeared him to majority of the team’s mammoth supporters.

According to the report, Masu Gida were looking to get Yusuf in a bid to make a proper title challenge next season. He has managed the likes of Nasarawa United, Enyimba and El-Kanemi Warriors.
