We’ll get rid of criminals’ hideouts, says Gwagwalada DPO
The new Gwagwalada Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Dankwano Dangana Wilson, has vowed to rid the area of criminals’ hideouts.
Speaking when he paid a familiarization visit to the Aguma of Gwagwalada, Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji, at his palace last week, Wilson stressed the need for support and cooperation from community leaders in order to combat crimes and criminality across the council.
He noted that the issue of security was a collective responsibility of everybody, hence, every individual must support and always give useful information that will enhance tackling any security threats in the council and its environs.
He said he will operate an open door policy for the benefit of the entire residents of the council, adding that he will make sure residents always remained law abiding to constituted authorities.
“We will also ensure that there is that synergy between the police and the chief as well as other stakeholders, in order to curb criminal activities,” he said.
The DPO added that the division will also partner with the Aguma in order to relocate the Gwako-Giri police outpost to the main town in the interest of residents of the council.
Responding, the Aguma, Alhaji Magaji, thanked the new DPO for taking time to visit him. He pledged to support him along with the village/district heads to help him in fighting crime in the entire council.
