There is more to entertainment than singing and dancing – Young CEO

Mohammed Bawa started an entertainment company called MB Entertainment, based in Kaduna, to ease the socio-cultural tension in the state especially among youths.

The company, according to the Computer Science graduate of Alhikma University Ilorin, organizes events and social gatherings aims to empower, encourage and promote individual development.

“I realized there is the need for a unifying and stabilizing factor as Kaduna State on past occasions had witnessed violent crises both (ethnic & religious). Northern youths need positive role models in the society that they can look up to and relate with & also help them deal or escape the negative activities around them, so that is what we do” the Adamawa state Indigene told Daily Trust Youthville .

Bawa whose company has 5 board of directors and employs 25 staff, affirms that every profession one ventures into is a lucrative one but only if it is done for the right reasons.

On his perspective on the entertainment business, the young entrepreneur regrets why some see it in a negative light.

“Some even see myopically and think it only entails acting, singing, dancing and so on. The entertainment business is diversified. It deals with even sports, fun fairs and charity. People should see entertainment from a positive side because it is one of the industries that keep our youths busy” he pleads.

He appeals to Youths to always have a positive mindset in whatever they choose to engage in, and make it a point of duty to help and support someone in need.

“The company will soon start its advocacy programs against drug abuse and addiction, on sickle cell awareness, breast cancer awareness and treatment, attitudinal change towards health in the north especially among youths, and I hope that we achieve all these” he prayed.
