CITY NEWS Police arrest suspected motorcycle snatcher in Abuja
The FCT Police Command has arrested a 36-yearold man, Emmanuel Ezeh, who allegedly specialises in snatching motorcycles in Abuja suburbs.
A police source with the command, who preferred anonymity, confided in our reporter yesterday, that the suspect who resides at Galadimawa, was arrested last week following intelligence report which enabled police to trail him to where he went to sell one of the motorcycles he had snatched in the area.
He said the suspect snatched motorcycles at Gosa village, along Airport road and sold them off.
“In fact, the suspect sometimes inflicts injuries on his victims before escaping with their motorcycles,” he said.
According to him, the police were able to recover two Bajaj motorcycles from the suspect during investigation.
When contacted, the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Anjuguru Manzah, confirmed the arrest of the suspect, adding that he snatched motorcycles around Galadimawa, Apo and Gosa axis of Abuja.
“There are two motorcycles the suspect even confessed to having sold after snatching them from their owners. He said he sold one of the motorcycles for N110,000 and another for N95,000,” the PPRO said.
He said the suspect would be charged to court after investigations had been concluded.
