President Muhammadu Buhari is expected back to Nigeria today after a sevenweek medical vacation in the United Kingdom.

Presidential spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina, disclosed this in a short statement last night.

Buhari who left for London on January 19 had to extend his tenday vacation to enable him undergo further medical tests.

Adesina quoted Buhari as expressing appreciation to Nigerians for their continued prayers and good wishes.

President Buhari's plane is expected to touch down at the Kaduna International Airport by 5: 30 am on Friday.

There was an unusual movement of security personnel within Kaduna. Credible sources said they were placed on notice about the use of the Kaduna airport by a 'very important visitor since around 4:30 pm yesterday.

A competent source at the Kaduna Government House told newsman in the evening to be at the airport as early as 5: 30 am for the arrival of' a very important visitor.'

The source while refusing to disclose the identity of the visitor said he would be flying in from abroad.

However, many people in Kaduna understood the “important KEEP DONATING TO THE visitor” to be Buhari. This was further reinforced by the unusual high number of state and federal government officials at the airport.

Our correspondent observed that security has been beefed up at the airport while airport official have been put on high alert ahead of the president's arrival.

Security within Kaduna town has also been beefed up as police men

have been placed at strategic points in the town.

Efforts to reach both the state commissioner of police and the police public relations officer were not fruitful as both men did not respond to phone calls.

Acting president Yemi Osinbajo was in Kaduna Thursday morning where he met the prime minister of Guinea Bissau before leaving for Sokoto on an official engagement.

The President will return to Nigeria through the Kaduna International Airport since the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja was shut down Tuesday for repairs.

Sources say the president may be flown to Abuja upon arrival in the wee hours of the morning.
