Buhari’s return a pain relief — Useni

- By Musa Abdullahi Krishi

Senator JT Useni (PDP, Plateau South) said yesterday that Nigerians were very worried when President Muhammadu Buhari took ill and stayed in London for weeks.

He said Buhari’s return, therefore, was like a pain relief to millions of Nigerians who saw a prosperous future in his style of governance.

Useni, who stated this in a statement yesterday by his media Aide, Abubakar Ateeku Yusuf Jos, also said: “We have every reason to be worried for the simple fact that we hold our president in high esteem and we have hope in him, going by his quest of seeing Nigeria develop, with its citizens living in good conditions and also the honest way he is fighting corruption,” he said.

The senator thanked God who “In His infinite mercy answered our fervent prayers and has safely returned our president home and is now fully back to work. We should continue to pray to God to give him more strength and long life,” he said.

“Mr. President, we are delighted to have you back and not only having you back but that your high level of patriotism towards making our dear country great as reflected in both your words and actions of “Rededicating,” yourself for the good of our country is really worthy of standing by you in ensuring that your commitment and zeal are actualised.

“It is apt to urge all Nigerians to continue to pray for your speedy recuperation, improved health and ability to deliver the desired good leadership borne out of your genuine desire.”
