Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), has charged its staff to buckle up while expressing displeasure over the revenue of the company in Jigawa south region saying, N3 billion was targeted in the last quarter but less than N2 billion was generated.

The Managing Director of the company, Jameel Ishiaku Gwamna, made this known yesterday during the recognition and performance award ceremony of the company in Dutse.

The MD who was represented by his Chief Corporate Service Officer, Balarebe Bello, urged the staff of the company to always consult with the superiors on how to improve their performance saying.

He said the company could only realise its goals if dedication and hard work become key among its staff adding that for those that did not make the list of the awardees this time, they should strive harder as there is room for them to be recognised next time.

“The company is expected to get N3 billion from Jigawa South region but only realised about N2 billion. For us to improve we need hard work, dedication and sincerity from all members of the staff because without that the company will not attain its goals.”

In his remark, the Jigawa South Regional Manager, Babatunde Ayoola, said those recognised were staff selected from Customer Service Point, Technical Service Point as well as from other sections of the company.

He added that 22 staff of the regional office of the company made the list of those to be celebrated as best performing staff in the last quarter saying, they were all selected based on merit.
