Our kind of restructuring is for one Nigeria — APDA
The National Chairman of Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA), Alhaji Shittu Mohammed Kabir, said yesterday that their newly registered party is set to achieve a restructured Nigeria that will provide social and economic security for all.
He said rather than pursuing regional agenda that set Nigerians against one another, APDA will explore the economic potentials of each state and channels them for the benefit of the people.
Kabir stated this yesterday, when he led other national officials of the party on a courtesy call at Media Trust Corporate office in Abuja.
“Our common goal is to ensure unity and peace of Nigeria; to make it strong and indivisible. Even though we believe in restructuring, it should be based on giving each state comparative advantage based on the resources it has,” he said.
He said APDA was not just a political party but a movement that aimed at recognizing youths in the scheme of things and ensuring party supremacy by putting an end to impunity.
He said with social security and basic needs of life for all, irrespective of tribe or religion, agitations will naturally fizzle out.
He added that APDA was not a shadow of some elements within the PDP who would use it in future elections.
“We are not PDP, we are not shadow of PDP and we are not fronting for anyone in PDP; we’ve our ideology,” he said.
