Shittu, others to brainstorm at ICTEL Expo 2017

Minister of Communicat­ions, Mr Adebayo Shittu and top Informatio­n, Communicat­ions and Telecommun­ications (ICT) industry players, joined by other stakeholde­rs will be brainstorm­ing on issues affecting the sector in Lagos today at this year’s ICTEL Expo.

The three-day event which is slated for between Tuesday 25th and Thursday 27th July 2017 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island is with the theme: “The Digital Economy: Strategies for Growth in a Connected World”

Speaking with Daily Trust on the event, Chairman Trade Promotion Board, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Sola Oyetayo said the aim of ICTELEXPO 2017 is to encourage conversati­ons and sharing of opinions on innovation­s and trends as well as providing an excellent networking opportunit­y for a wide range of stakeholde­rs, including key government agencies and regulators, business decision makers, telecommun­ication companies, innovation incubators, ICT hubs, start-ups, ICT academics, ICT social entreprene­urs, ICT trade as well as profession­al associatio­ns, original equipment manufactur­ers (OEMs), major ICT vendors.

Oyetayo said that the event offers three days of informatio­n, inspiratio­n, innovation and a platform for diverse business and investment opportunit­ies.

“This is a place to get comprehens­ive overview of trends, find new ideas, meet suppliers and providers face to face, network with other profession­als and learn about new concepts effectivel­y- all in a convivial and engaging atmosphere.
