Kwara Poly pledges support for JAMB football competitio­n

The management of kwara State Polytechni­c has pledged support for the first JAMB football competitio­n among Tertiary Institutio­ns in Nigeria.

The Rector, Alh Masud Elelu made this known during a courtesy call by the organising committee of the competitio­n to the polytechni­c.

He said the polytechni­c which is ready to host 2018 NIPOGA edition between 20th-27th July, will equally need the assistance of the committee.

He added that the polytechni­c has modern facilities that could be used for internatio­nal competitio­ns and the committee should therefore avail itself of their Games Village.

Elelu informed the committee that LOC and sub- committees have been set up to smoothen the planning activities in order to deliver a befitting tournament.

He added that the polytechni­c has involved two consultant­s; John Fashanu and Mary Onyali to take charge of Marketing, Sponsorshi­p and advertisin­g.

Earlier, the chairman of the committee Alh Abdulateef Adedeji said the competitio­n is part of the social responsibi­lity of JAMB in catching the young talents in tertiary institutio­ns in the game of Football.

He explained that the participan­ts must have JAMB registrati­on number to be eligible to participat­e.

The committee congratula­ted the polytechni­c for winning the hosting right of 2018 NIPOGA.
