Miyetti Allah vows to prosecute parents over low school enrolment

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has raised an alarm over low school enrolment among nomadic children, especially across the North Central zone.

The National Vice Chairman, North Central Zone of the group, Alhaji Idris Gidado Bebeji, said in Minna yesterday that in the 21st century, education in both Islamic and western was a veritable means of molding characters in children to become better citizens, and the group would do intensive public enlightenm­ent campaign on the importance of education, after which the group would commence clampdown on parents who failed to enroll their children.

“Any parent who does not send their children to school would be sanctioned and even prosecuted,” he said.
