- By Abubakar Sadiq Isah

The Agora of Zuba, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Umar (III), has said leaders will account for their actions on earth to God on the day of resurrection.

The chief who held a four day prayer for the late former chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Alhaji Saidu Garba Zuba, at his palace, urged leaders to have fear of God.

Saidu Zuba, died on Sunday at a private clinic at Sabon Wuse, in Niger State, after a brief illness.

The Chief Imam of Dobi Central Mosque, Malam Yakubu Baba Muhammad and three Imams presided over the prayers at Agora’s palace, with recitation of the Holy Qur’an.

“Here we are today, praying for the repose of the soul of Saidu Zuba, who departed this world on Sunday. I want every one of us here to always see death as a lesson, because no matter your wealth, power and knowledge, we must all die one day, “he said.

The Agora added that the palace has indeed lost one of its members of the traditional council, saying the palace was still mourning the death of the former council chairman.

On his part, the House of Representatives member for Abuja South, Alhaji Zakari Angulu Dobi, called on those whom the deceased might have owed money or materials to lay their claims through the palace.

Among those that attended the prayers, were a former FCT PDP chairman, Alhaji Alhassan Gwagwa, ex-Kuje chairman, Danladi Etsu Zhin, FCT PDP chairman, Alhaji Yahaya Y. Suleiman, former reps member, Alhaji Egah Dobi, Aguma of Gwagwalada, Alhaji Muhammad Magaji and village and district heads of the chiefdom.
