Why 2019 will not be business as usual for Gov. Lalong

-

Iwant to strongly bring it to the notice of the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Right Hon. Simon Bako Lalong that based on his performance so far in Jos North where he on several occasion confessed to have the bulk of his winning vote from,

2019 may not be business as usual for him, having regard to your Excellency’s performance and the momentum, full force and energy gathered by the People’s Democratic party (PDP).

We were convinced with your campaign promises like the return of Rusau Graveyard; successful conduct of local government elections, with the belief of handing over to the successful winner; rebuilding of Terminus market; construction of roads; and other social amenities among others, but you all failed in bringing this promises into reality.

We only hear complaints everyday from our people that so many places, most especially the core Hausa communities are abandoned. Sir, is that what we deserve from you, after having a sleeplessness nights and waiting under the sun, just to ensure your victory became a reality?

Our roads at Angwan Rogo/Rimi are abandoned; Masalalcin Idi bridge is abandoned after demolition while it is apparent to us that other areas with even lesser population are been developed day by day.

If we complained for our areas to be developed too, your government always says there is no money. So what money is used to develop those other areas? Or will I be right to say that it is time to start demanding for the opposition to put forward a better candidate?

If the state legislators are complaining about their welfare, the whole state could safely be said to be in a big trouble.

The closeness and familiarity of the new PDP political gladiators to the Hausa communities is a welcome development which will create a better understanding of the people. As the 2019 general election is fast approaching, I believe it is well known to the Governor that Jos North and other local governments are not places that could be used and dumped. Jos North follows candidates not political parties, as PDP and other parties are willing to field many strong personalities.

The earlier the better, is never too late to reshape the wrong ways of this administration.
