APC urges new board members to uphold change legacy

- By Taiwo Adeniyi

Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) have urged the board members just appointed by the FCT Minister, Muhammad Musa Bello, not to abuse the confidence reposed in them.

The party big wigs made the call during an interactive session organised for the board members by the Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abdullahi Adamu Candido.

A party chieftain, Abari Tanko, urged the new board members to carry the change mantra of the president to their new appointments and ensure that they do not forget the people while discharging their duties.

“The regular board members need to leave their doors wide open because our people will come to you and if you deny them they will deny you,” he said.

Candido said the interactive session was to uphold the unity in the party and felicitate with the new appointees.

“We are one people and we must remain as one. The president of this country through the minister has reposed confidence in them, by this appointment they must live up to their responsibilities; they must never disappoint the president and the party,” he said.

He said they should try and allow the residents feel free to see them because they are supposed to deliver service and in delivering service their doors must be open.
