Zam­fara spent N6.8bn on agri­cul­ture in 7 years

Gover­nor Ab­du­laziz Yari of Zam­fara State says his ad­min­is­tra­tion has spent over N6.8 bil­lion to boost agri­cul­ture in the state in the last seven years.

Yari made the dis­clo­sure while launch­ing the 2018 wet sea­son fer­tiliser sale at Nasarawa Burkullu vil­lage in Bukkuyum Lo­cal Govern­ment Area (LGA) of the state.

He said the amount was used in the pro­cure­ment of fer­tiliser, pes­ti­cides and other farm in­puts in or­der to cre­ate a more con­ducive farm­ing en­vi­ron­ment to farm­ers in the state.
