Ramadan: Jaiz Foundation distribute­s food to Muslims in Kogi

The Jaiz Charity and Developmen­t Foundation, an NGO of the Jaiz Bank has distribute­d food items to Muslims in Inye community, Ankpa LGA of Kogi State under its Iftar Saim Programme.

Speaking yesterday at Alhuffaazh Academy, Inye, venue of the distributi­on, the Director General/CEO of the Foundation, Amb. Adamu Babangida Ibrahim said the gesture was to bring succor to the beneficiar­ies during this period of the Ramadan fast.

He said the foundation was The Southern Kaduna Peoples’ Union (SOKAPU) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to approve interventi­onist funds to rebuild, rehabilita­te and restore Southern Kaduna to its pristine position as done for Benue State to address the challenges that have arisen as a result of the terrorist attacks.

The union also urged the Federal Government to establishe­d to offer supports to communitie­s in the areas of education, health and other humanitari­an services.

Amongst the items distribute­d include rice, milk, sugar and other beverages.

In a remark, the Executive Secretary of the Jaiz Zakat & WAQF Trust, Imam Abdullahi Shuaib, prayed that God will grant the beneficiar­ies and all other Muslims the strength to complete the Ramadan fast in good health.

A beneficiar­y, Abdullahi Tahir, commended the foundation for the kind gesture and prayed God to reward them. establish a Southern Kaduna Developmen­t Commission to rebuild, reconstruc­t, rehabilita­te and restore the destroyed communitie­s.

A statement issued and signed by the national spokespers­on of the union, Mr. Yakubu Kuzamani commended the approval of the sum of N10billion by President Buhari for the rebuilding of destroyed communitie­s.
