S/West PDP: We’re ready for APC’s federal might

Daily Trust - - INSIDE POLITICS - From Abdullateef Aliyu, Lagos

The PDP in the South West said yesterday that the ruling APC is plotting to win tomorrow’s governorship election in Ekiti State by deploying the machineries of the Federal Government.

National Vice-Chairman of the party in the South West Dr. Eddy Olafeso who addressed newsmen in Lagos said, “The comment from APC leadership is the fact that they want to use the federal might to hijack power rather than using the political process.

“PDP is ready and we will confront whatever machinations they put in place and we will say no to what they are attempting to do to our people.

“Ekiti people need our support, Ekiti people need our understanding to know that they have the inalienable right to select whoever they want to be their governor and that the APC government will not want to do that on the blood of our people,” Olafeso said.

He said though there was nothing wrong with providing security for the election, it was worrisome that the security deployed was to give advantage to the APC.
