Aliyu said Shehu Auwal, 32, popularly known as Doko, was murdered by unidentified persons in the early hours of Tuesday.

The police spokesman said all those found with a hand in his death would be brought to justice.

He said late Auwal left home on Monday night where he attended a political meeting alongside his fellow politicians at Tudun Wada, Zaria on the fateful day. Sani said they quickly called his friend whom they went out together, making inquiries of his whereabouts.

He said his dead body was later recovered at Kofar Doka along Jos road in Zaria.

He said Auwal was a professional tailor doing business with many prominent personalities.
