Group vows to force Saraki’s res­ig­na­tion

The Buhari Cam­paign Or­gan­i­sa­tion (BCO) has vowed to oc­cupy the Na­tional As­sem­bly if Se­nate Pres­i­dent Bukola Saraki fails to re­sign from of­fice af­ter re­sump­tion next month.

The Na­tional Co­or­di­na­tor of the group, Dan­ladi Pasali de­clared that Saraki’s res­ig­na­tion in the current sit­u­a­tion was the most hon­ourable path af­ter­math of his re­cent de­fec­tion from the All Pro­gres­sives Congress (APC).

Pasali, who spoke dur­ing the in­au­gu­ra­tion of Ogun State sec­re­tar­iat of BCO at Elew­eran, Abeokuta how­ever, did not dis­close the day and time they would oc­cupy the Na­tional As­sem­bly.

Pasali urged Saraki to take queue from the former Se­nate Mi­nor­ity Leader, Sen­a­tor Godswill Ap­k­abio’s, who re­signed af­ter de­fect­ing to the APC.

Speak­ing on the chances of Pres­i­dent Muham­madu Buhari in 2019 elec­tion, the BCO na­tional co­or­di­na­tor said those, who have shown in­ter­est in his seat can­not de­feat him, adding that the BCO was bat­tle ready to en­sure APC won the com­ing elec­tion.
