FCT principals urged to inculcate morals in students

The Chairman of Secondary Education Board (SEB) in the FCT, Alhaji Musa Yahaya Muhammad, has called on principals of senior secondary schools in the territory to ensure they inculcate moral values in their students.

Muhammad, who made the call during a joint meeting of board members and heads of schools in Abuja, yesterday, said inculcatin­g good morals in students, especially as it relates to their eating habits in the dinning hall was important.

The board chairman urged the school principals to be always vigilant and pay adequate attention to what was happening around their respective schools.

“It is also expedient for all the school principals to do the needful by ensuring that the right things were done for holistic education in FCT,” he said.

Also speaking, the acting director of FCT SEB, Mrs. Nanre Emeje, said the new academic session came with high expectatio­ns to deliver good results, hence, the need to continue to remould the child for a brighter future.

The vice president of All Nigeria Confederat­ions of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPPS), FCT chapter, Hajiya Binta Nasir, appreciate­d the board for it inputs in ensuring that the school system worked effectivel­y and efficientl­y.

She assured that the principals would not relent in complying with the rules and regulation­s guiding their core responsibi­lities to other staff members.
