APC right on my candidacy — Uba Sani
The APC senatorial candidate for Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Malam Uba Sani, has said the party made the right decision by electing him as its candidate in the next general elections.
Sani, who said this in an interactive session with newsmen in Kaduna, added that other aspirants had assured him of their cooperation as he emerged the candidate of the party.
He said the controversy over who won the APC primary in Kaduna Central had not affected the chances of the party.
He added that “all genuine party members” knew his capacity to win during the general elections.
“As you are already aware, the National Working Committee (NWC) of our great party, on Thursday, October 18, 2018, submitted my name to the Independent INEC as the validly elected candidate to represent the party in the 2019 senatorial in Kaduna Central. This decision was the final seal to a most rigorous and hard-fought primary election,” he said.
Sani, who is the Political Adviser to Gov. Nasir El-Rufai, pledged not to betray the faith and confidence his supporters had in him.
The senatorial candidate said the party in the state felt betrayed by the actions of the senator representing the zone, Shehu Sani, who he said contributed in denying the state the $350m loan that would have been used in developing the state.
