Shadadi-Lanto road construction will commence soon-Kuje boss

- By Abubakar Sadiq Isah

The Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Alhaji Abdullahi D. Galadima, has said the council is liaising with the FCT Administration to rehabilitate Lanto-Shadadi road.

Galadima stated this when he received a five-man committee from the affected communities who paid him a visit in his office yesterday.

He said due process must be followed in awarding the contract, and appealed to the committee to exercise patience while processes were sorted out.

“In fact, just last week, I still reminded the FCT minister, Muhammad Musa Bello, about the Shadadi-Lanto road, and he assured me that work will commence in no distant time,” he said.

He said the level at which erosion had threatened some sections of the road was a major concern to the council but assured that the ecological fund office through the FCT Administration had promised to rehabilitate the road. the

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Isaac Ayuba, said they decided to pay a visit to the council chairman to intimate him about the deplorable state of the Shadadi-Lanto road, which they said had become a nightmare to them.

“We can recall that sometime early this year, you led the FCT minister, Muhammad Musa Bello, to inspect the Shadadi-Lanto road, which he promised to construct but we have not heard anything since then,” he said.
