Com­pany slashes new tri­cy­cles with doors by N100, 000

Dragon mo­tor com­pany, man­u­fac­tur­ers of the lat­est brands of tri­cy­cles with doors, yes­ter­day re­vealed that the com­pany will give a N100, 000 price slash for its buy­ers at the on­go­ing La­gos In­ter­na­tional trade fair.

The tri­cy­cle, sold for N950, 000 be­fore and af­ter the fair, will be sold for N850, 000 till the end of the fair on Sun­day, Novem­ber 11, 2018, to at­tract more buy­ers.

In an ex­clu­sive in­ter­view with the com­pany’s rep­re­sen­ta­tive, Olu­mide Adesina, the price for the tri­cy­cles, which are be­ing as­sem­bled in Ipaja, La­gos State and Owo in Ondo State, Nige­ria, was re­duced to en­cour­age more un­em­ployed youths pro­cure it for their daily sur­vival.

Speak­ing fur­ther, he said, his com­pany is giv­ing out spe­cial dis­counts for the youths be­tween the ages of 25 and 35. He ex­plained that the youths who could pro­duce half of the money, will be given tri­cy­cle un­der an ar­range­ment and agree­ment with the com­pany pro­vided it will be driven for trans­porta­tion. He said the ti­tle will not be re­leased to the youths un­der such ar­range­ments un­til the bal­ance for the tri­cy­cle has been com­pleted.

He stressed that the com­pany’s de­sire to man­u­fac­ture the new tri­cy­cles in Nige­ria could be made pos­si­ble by a high level of com­mit­ment from the govern­ment. He added that, the new tri­cy­cle could be the so­lu­tion to youth em­pow­er­ment and “re­duc­ing mis­cre­ants on the streets.”
