Ondo pro­motes 7,075 pub­lic ser­vants

The Gov­er­nor of Ondo State, Ro­timi Ak­eredolu, has ap­proved the im­me­di­ate pro­mo­tion of 7,075 pub­lic ser­vants in the Min­istries, De­part­ments and Agen­cies (MDAs) in the state.

The Chair­man of the state Civil Ser­vice Com­mis­sion (CSC), Dr. Afo­labi Ade­wakun, who dis­closed this dur­ing a press brief­ing in Akure, the Ondo state cap­i­tal, said the pro­mo­tion ex­er­cise was part of the cur­rent ad­min­is­tra­tion’s ini­tia­tive to en­cour­age and mo­ti­vate work­ers.

Dr. Ade­wakun said 1,742 core civil ser­vants ben­e­fit­ted from the pro­mo­tion, while 5,333 work­ers from govern­ment paras­tatals were also pro­moted.

Ade­wakun, who said the pro­mo­tion was with im­me­di­ate ef­fect, dis­closed that, “I am sure that by now most of the work­ers must have re­ceived their let­ters of pro­mo­tion.”

He com­mended the Ak­eredolu-led ad­min­is­tra­tion for giv­ing pri­or­ity to the wel­fare of the work­ers.
