Digital Bridge matriculat­es 104 diploma students

Digital Bridge Institute, Kano campus, has matriculat­ed 104 students under its National Innovation Diploma programme for the 2018/2019 academic year.

Speaking during the institute’s 2nd matriculat­ion ceremony, the chairman, Governing Board of Digital Bridge Institute, Engineer Titi Omo-Ettu, said in the present academic year of the institute, Kano State government played a very vital role in its students’ enrolment by sponsoring most of them.

According to him, the institute’s main concern is to give its students innovative skills that will enable them lead in the IT and telecommun­ication sector.

He added that the institutio­n is presently making preparatio­ns to partner with multi-national bodies to link up its graduates with positive and advanced pursuit of their profession­al skills.

In her remarks, Kano State Commission­er for Women Affairs, Hajiya Yar’dada Maikano Bichi, stated that based on the special considerat­ion given to women’s education by the present administra­tion of the state, all arrangemen­ts have been completed to sponsor 100 women on automobile mechanic under its partnershi­p with Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited (PAN) in Kaduna State.

She added that, this is in addition to the earlier trained 50 women automobile mechanics at PAN, stressing that the trained women have already graduated from PAN and into practice.
