N/East APC promises bulk votes for Buhari
Chieftains and members of the APC in the North East have disclosed that the region owes President Buhari its votes for his re-election next year.
They disclosed this while speaking at the North East Zonal meeting of the party held in Bauchi on Saturday.
APC National Secretary, Mai Mala Buni, said the North East as major beneficiary of President Buhari’s administration, would vote for him more than they did in 2015.
Buni, who is the party’s governorship candidate in Yobe State, said people of the North East knew what the president did to them in the last three years in the areas of security and capital projects like the Mambilla Hydropower project and road construction going on across the region.
The North East Zonal Vice Chairman of the party, Com. Mustapha Salisu, urged aggrieved members of the party to accept the olive branch being extended to them.
Gov. Kashim Shettima of Borno State said the party would carry everybody along, saying there was remarkable improvement in security in the especially State.
On his part, Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan, said the APC would have the majority in the two chambers of the National Assembly after the 2019 elections so that President Buhari would have all the support to bring the needed change and development to the country.
In his welcome address, Gov. Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State called on members of the party to unite and forget their grievances in order to strengthen the party and face the 2019 elections. North in East, Borno
