…FCT minister condoles with Ona Abaji

The Minister of the FCT, Muhammad Musa Bello, has condoled with the Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, over the killing of the Vice Chairman of the council, Mohammed Rizoma.

The minister who was represented by the FCT Secretary of Education, Sen. Isah Maina, who led a delegation to the chief’s palace, said the FCT Administration (FCTA) was shocked and saddened by the news of the abduction and killing of the vice chairman.

He assured the council’s chairman and the traditional ruler that the administration would ensure that those behind the kidnapping and killing were brought to book.

The minister prayed for the repose of the soul of the vice chairman and assured that security agents had been deployed to search for the corpse.

He reassured the people of the FCT that the administration was ready to ensure the protection of lives and property.

The Chairman of Abaji, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, represented by the council’s Secretary, Alhaji Kamal Adamu Shuaibu, thanked the minister for sending a delegation to condole with the people of the council over the death of the vice chairman.

The Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, expressed appreciation to the FCT minister for showing concern over the killing of the vice chairman.

The minister’s delegation also visited the palace of the Etsu Yaba, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu, and Adagba village where the late vice chairman hailed from, to condole with the family.
