Stranger than fiction

-

My God, I really don’t know how or where to start, as I am totally disappointed about the issues and subjects of the political debate going on in our beloved country thanks to the unintelligent media that’s defined by the size of the brown envelopes and who is the giver of them. That’s what unfortunately defines the topic and content if the Nigerian media in the 21st century. Since the People Deceive People campaign has no program, ideas plans, topic or issues, they would rather have the media they control run campaigns of calumny.

At least one expects the fourth estate as the media call itself, to define the tempo, direction and substance of the campaigns for the political parties, as unfortunately none of these parties seems to have any. But our media buried itself in science fiction to the level of idiotism. Every educated person ought to have the knowledge that is yet to succeed and the only assumed cloned sheep was alleged to have survived only two hours. And even that’s still questionable. How can our media waste our time in discussing about the probability that General Muhammad Buhari, who was a Nigerian military officer in the Congo, under the command of General Yakubu Gowon, a battalion commander during the unfortunate civil war, the second and last military governor of the Northeast, the first chairman of the NNPC, GOC in Jos, former Head of State, former chairman of PTF, contested for President under APP, ANPP, CPC and APC, the current sitting President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is a cloned Jibrin from Sudan? Sic. Sad!

Whenever the PMB’s team score a goal, our media will not report it except when they have no choice but to copy from foreign source. However as expected of them, they are more likely to respond on the failures of the Nigerian institutions, be it the army, or the police or any other sector. Even our security issues are washed in the media. I expect real reportage of the political debates and campaigns for the People’s Verdict 2019.
