Why I was confident Buhari’ll win – Sokoto Campaign DG

Director–General APC Campaign Council in Sokoto, Alhaji Yusuf Sulaiman, yesterday said he was confident that President Muhamadu Buhari would win the 2019 presidential election in the state.

“Sokoto people have always come out strongly to voice their support to President Muhammadu Buhari and to voice their support to Distinguished Senator Aliyu Wamakko.

“When we set out on this we knew that victory is ours by the Grace of Almighty Allah (SWT) ,and Sokoto people have come out to confirm what we have always said that this is a territory for the APC and we have proved it time and time again.”

Sulaiman, who is a former Minister of Transport, said he never entertained any fear about losing. “I always give myself 99 per cent confidence that I will win, I leave out one per cent because I am not God.”

On why he had such confidence, he replied ‘’because of people that are involved. I am a politician, every single politician knows when he is going to win election and when is going to lose.”

He expressed gratitude to God, adding, “there is nothing like believing in something, praying for it and seeing it happening in a manner that you have not even imagined.”

According to him, when the election was postponed the previous week, INEC only postponed the inevitable success of President Buhari.
