PDP: Okorocha desperate to win Imo for son-in-law
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State has accused Governor Rochas Okorocha of declaring war against Imolites because of his alleged desperation to win election for his son- in-law, Uche Nwosu.
The party claimed that because Okorocha was losing the governorship election, he decided to use all means to win, including intimidation.
The PDP Collation Officer in the state, Uche Onyeaguocha, who spoke to journalists at INEC office in Owerri, alleged that Okorocha was responsible for the delay in the collation of results in the state because he was desperate to manipulate the election for his son- in-law.
According to him, the Collation Officer in Nkwere Local Government Area, George Njoku had run away with the election results without being signed by party agents because he was working for Okorocha.
“Basically, what we have in Imo now is a war zone, where Okorocha feels he can do what he did in the presidential and National Assembly elections in the state,” he said.
“He is running riot across the state gathering results sheets as much as he can to manipulate election for his son- in-law,” he alleged.
He said all the officers sent to collect results in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area were denied access and chased away by Okorocha’s thugs that impersonated military operatives.
