While the results were trickling in, elections in six states have been declared inconclusive. These are Plateau, Adamawa, Benue, Sokoto, Bauchi and Kano. The electoral empire is mandated to complete the elections in the affected states within 29 days. Similarly, elections in Rivers State have been suspended indefinitely.

Some of the states where final results of the governorship elections have been declared are Abia, Akwa Ibom, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Enugu, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Oyo, Yobe and Zamfara.
