RCCG lays foundation for Northern Redemption Camp College

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is to set up a Secondary School in Plateau State to promote sound education and raise Godfearing future leaders.

The Pastor in charge of Region 8, of the church, Pastor Sunday Edward Akande, who spoke at the foundation laying ceremony of the Redeemer College Northern Region Redemption Camp, said the school would have 16 classrooms and hostels for boys and girls.

The foundation was laid in Kassa, Barakin-Ladi local government area of Plateau State.

Akande, who is also the Special Assistant (Technical) to RCCG General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, said sound education coupled with spiritual upbringing was essential for the growth of any society.

“The laying of this foundation is in line with the policy thrust of the RCCG to promote education and raise children that would be God fearing.

“What we are doing today is also a stepping stone toward building another campus of Redeemers University in this camp ground in line with the vision of our father in the Lord Pastor Adeboye,” he said.

In his remarks, the school’s board Chairman, Pastor Tunde Ologere, commended the General Overseer, Enoch Adegboye, and his wife Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye for their vision, adding that the laying of foundation was a concept towards expansion of the existing Christ The Redeemer College at Keana link in Jos.

He called on members of the church and parents to team up with the management of the school towards making the project a reality within a short period as outlined by the board.
