Ali Nuhu, others thrill as Knockout arrives Cinemas

Ali Nuhu, Abiodun Ayoyinka popularly called Papa Ajasco, Hafeez Oyetoro, are among A-list actors and actresses thrilled in the new comic movie, Knockout which officially debuts in Cinemas today.

At the movie premiere at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos, the movie Producer, Wale Adenuga Jnr, said the movie was a product of conscienti­ous effort that aims at giving Nigerians “non-stop comedy” from the beginning till

the end.

According to the producer, many of those who have seen the movie at the premiere have said they have had “laughter overdose” and to that extent, it means the movie has achieved its intended aim of giving much fun and happiness to viewers. He said the release of the movie to Cinemas is deliberate as it was targeted at a period a large section of the populace is in festive and relax mood.

The movie built its plot around the theme of a boxing competitio­n with a cash prize of N1 billion ($3 million). The competitio­n sends a group of people into a hilarious frenzy, after which they devise mischievou­s means to participat­e with firm eyes on the prize monies.

The clumsy boxer, they choose and the crazy characters they meet along the way result in a myriad of mayhem and madness, all of which spiced the movie and thrilled viewers.

“Well, as you can see, we gave the movie the best of our time and ensure we truly give our people what can be seen as truly hilarious,” Hafiz Oyetoro, one of the leading comic acts in the movie said.
