Saraki’s aides submit handover notes
All the aides to Senate President Bukola Saraki have submitted their handover notes to the Chief of Staff to the Number 3 Citizen, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, Daily Trust learnt.
This followed a directive by the Senate president through the Chief of Staff dated March 6, which gave all the aides up to April 6 to submit their handover notes. A source in the Senate president’s office said all the aides to Saraki including special advisers, special assistants, senior legislative aides, legislative aides, among others had complied with the directive.
The handover notes would enable aides to the incoming Senate president to strategize and plan well on how to man their various offices.
Our source also said this was the first time that aides to any Senate president would be directed to submit handover notes.
The source also said that it was
not true that senators were shrinking around the Senate president, saying Saraki had been busy hosting his colleagues in his office all the time he was around.
Also, it was learnt that all the staff in the Senate president’s office had been going on with their work schedule as planned, and that no staff ever failed to come to work since after election.
