- From Maryam Ahmadu-Suka, Kaduna

Chief Missioner of NasrulLahi-L-Fatih Society of Nigeria, NASFAT, Ustaz Mohammed Maruf Raji, has called on Federal Government to empower the teeming unemployed youths as a solution to ending insecurity in the country.

Speaking during a lecture in Kaduna, he explained that providing means of livelihood to the teeming youths will make them self-sufficient and take their minds off crimes.

“It is important to recognise the fact that an idle mind is the devil’s workshop. By providing jobs for the youth it will go a long way in curbing the ugly trend of insecurity in the country.

“Nigerians need to sincerely seek forgiveness from God to lead the country out of its current situation of insecurity.”

He called on government to double its efforts in addressing the issues of banditry and other social vices.

The cleric also identified human sins as one of the factors responsible for the lingering killings, kidnappings and banditry in the country.
