- By Ibrahim Musa Giginyu

Sixteen Kano young aspiring footballers for pro-soccer abroad have been endorsed to compete in the next stage of screening exercise scheduled for June 6th 2019 in Lagos .

The successful youths were drawn from thousands of youths who participated in the two-day football scouting programme organised by City Sport Group held at Bayero University Kano (BUK) football playground.

The spokesperson of the organisers Mr. Muyiwa Opaleye said the successful players were entitled to a trip to Lagos for the final phase of the scouting exercise.

He added that football scouts from England, Spain, Germany and Turkey would storm Lagos to scrutinize the players, stressing that players who satisfy the set-out quality stand the chance to be linked with professional football teams in various parts of Europe.

Muyiwa further expressed his optimism over the quality of football talents available in Kano state, “I am impressed with the calibre of players we have seen in Kano and we are really happy with the talents we have discovered,” he said.
