Court jails 3 over Internet fraud in Kwara

A Kwara State High Court yesterday convicted three persons on a four count charge bordering on cheating and Internet fraud.

The suspects are two siblings, Olaogun Seun, Olaogun Abidemi and Ojor Alex and all pleaded guilty.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ilorin zonal office arraigned the suspects on four count charge of agreeing among themselves to cheat by impersonation.

The Presiding Judge, Justice M Abdulgafar sentenced them to four months imprisonment on each of the four counts without option of fine with the sentencing to run concurrently.

The judge also ordered the defendants to forfeit all the exhibits recovered from them to the Federal Government.
